Classic with a Twist

A white silk blouse, slim denim and aviator sunglasses are classic fashion staples that should be in every girl's wardrobe. After you've covered those basics, look for those same pieces with a little twist to add some flair. Details like contrasting trim on a blouse, mirrored green lenses on sunnies, and cuffing your jeans are subtle but really ups the chicness level. Or as P'Trique says, it's #ChicToTheNextLev.

I finally got to take some of my new JewelMint pieces that I won from Gal Meets Glam's giveaway out for a spin. This metal clutch is especially fun and different, as are these Zara trousers. The leopard print with a camouflage feel really won me over.

Skulls have been making an impact on fashion for quite some time and I've grown to love them, especially when they're encrusted with rhinestones. The extra bling makes the skulls edgy and girly at the same time, which is how I like to style my outfits on a lot of occasions. Plus, a little extra sparkle is always a welcome addition to my wardrobe.
