I've been on a self-imposed shopping "diet" since summer started. I'm making an effort to be more creative with wearing what is already in my closet (this outfit is proof), and keeping myself occupied with other things (like cooking) so that I'm not shopping. It's not to say that I don't buy anything. But the things I do buy are items I believe will stand the test of time and allow me to wear for years to come.

The last time I wore Keds I was in elementary school and I still remember the smell of the canvas with each new pair that I broke in for the school year. When I saw these silver chevron sneakers, I knew it was time to break the Keds drought in my shoe wardrobe and add them to my collection.
