Chartreuse Crush

I was super excited to see that Marionberry Style's Trend of the Month challenge for January was stripes. It's a pattern that really goes with anything, and there are quite a number of striped pieces in my closet. I decided to pair my classic black and white stripes with some camo print, and accessorized with this chartreuse scarf I scored at J. Crew during their Boxing Week sale. I've been crushing on this neon yellow colour as of late and it reminds me of Spring, which can't come soon enough!

Okay, so there aren't really 50 shades of Fall (or are there?), but the scenery sure is colourful these days and I thought I'd play on the title of the popular book, Fifty Shades of Grey. Have any of you read it and would you recommend it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Happy weekend, everyone!

The day these photos were taken was the first time Eleanor and I were able to catch the glorious late afternoon light. The sun was partially hidden behind the clouds so we weren't able to capture the full effect of golden hour, but we were graced with soft, beautiful light nonetheless. I'm hoping to shoot more photos at this time of day now that summer is approaching.
