Tulle is such a celebratory fabric, isn't it? Since it's my birthday, I thought this skirt would be the perfect outfit to post on the blog today. Now I'm off to enjoy my birthday celebrations with the hubby for an extended long weekend! Happy Friday lovelies!

Sometimes two is better than one. I layered up a couple of my favourite jackets for a look that's not only functional (more layers = more warmth) but is also stylish. I love the look these two jackets create when worn together, and was more than happy that the extra layers allowed me to wear this Wilfred Free dress in the middle of winter (see my looks with this dress in the summer and fall).

Downpour

After one week without blogging, I am back! I took a hiatus from the blog last week while on vacation in LA and Disneyland (check my Instagram feed for photos) and it was a truly refreshing break. It's good to be back though, but I am missing the hot Southern California sunshine. Coincidentally, there was actually a thunder and lighting storm the same day I wore this Thor t-shirt. There's nothing more fitting than a downpour of rain to welcome me home to Vancouver.

There's nothing like a heat wave to make you feel like you're in a tropical paradise. Wearing this Paradise Cove tank must have invoked the  weather gods because this past Canada Day long weekend was a scorcher. I'm not complaining though. Bring it on, summer! I'm ready.
