I decided to give the track pants trend a try and I have to say that I'm liking the look. When they're in classic black like this pair from Old Navy, it makes it easy to dress up or down. I love that they can take me from Zumba to cocktails just by switching shoes (I was wearing Converse Chucks with this exact outfit for brunch earlier in the day). Bonus points for comfort!

It's officially autumn and although I'm a little sad that summer is over, I am looking forward to the changing leaves, crisp air and pumpkin spice lattes. Dressing for this transitional season can be tricky, since the mornings are cool and by the afternoon I'm usually sweating through my layers. This breezy dress topped with a leather jacket has fixed my transitional-dressing woes so far. How do you dress for the fluctuating temperatures as the seasons change?

Happy September everyone! I can't believe the last long weekend of the summer has ended, but cheer up darlings! It's technically still summer since fall officially starts on September 23. Until then, I'll be keeping the summer vibes going for as long as I can in outfits like this flirty floral romper from AMI Clubwear. I have been living in this oversized blanket scarf from Zara. It's been keeping me warm since the temperature has dipped below zero, and the tartan/plaid patterns are right on point this season. Double the plaid, double the fun!

I'm borrowing the title of this week's IFB Project: Blazer of Glory, for this post because this H&M blazer is exactly that for me (evidence seen here, here and here). The faux leather sleeves and pockets combined with the wool shell fits my style perfectly. Add in a sweatshirt made of luxe silk with moto denim skinnies and you've got a classic, edgy chic look with my name written all over it.

Layered Up

Although I'm a die-hard summer girl, I do enjoy dressing for fall because of the opportunities to layer. I last wore this dress in the heat of summer (here) and was able to make it appropriate for autumn temperatures just by adding a turtleneck and faux fur vest. Classic accessories like diamond stud earrings and oxblood nail polish brings more texture to the look, while holding a cup of hot tea keeps the chill away. Which brings me to this Alice+Olivia for Starbucks mug. Can we talk about how adorable it is? Stripes, gold and a tutu - très chic.
