Each new fashion year usually brings about an urge to update the wardrobe with seasonably specific colours, prints and textures. These sartorial renewals don't have to break the bank though. I am ecstatic about this year's Pantone Colour of the Year, Radiant Orchid, because this shade of purple is my favourite colour (my bridesmaids' dresses were the exact same shade as this tee). Here are some of my Radiant Orchid shopping picks. How will you wear 2014's Pantone Colour of the Year?

Although I'm a die-hard summer girl, I do enjoy dressing for fall because of the opportunities to layer. I last wore this dress in the heat of summer (here) and was able to make it appropriate for autumn temperatures just by adding a turtleneck and faux fur vest. Classic accessories like diamond stud earrings and oxblood nail polish brings more texture to the look, while holding a cup of hot tea keeps the chill away. Which brings me to this Alice+Olivia for Starbucks mug. Can we talk about how adorable it is? Stripes, gold and a tutu - très chic.
