We are now officially into summer and I can't think of a better way to kick off my favourite season than to wear a maxi dress. There's nothing easier than putting on one piece of clothing that instantly makes you look put together and requires so little effort. What's your must-have summer essential? Have a great weekend everyone!

Put it in Neutral

{ Top: H&M (old) // Jeans: Fade to Blue // Shoes: ShoeMint Hattie // Bag: Zara (last seen here) // Sunglasses: Roberto Cavalli // Bracelets: H&M and Forever 21 // Watch: Michael Kors }

As much as I love colour, sometimes it's really refreshing to wear an entirely neutral-hued ensemble. The key to keeping the outfit from looking too flat is to incorporate some texture. In this case, lace, a hint of snakeskin, and pyramid studs creates enough visual interest in a sea of white, cream and blush. Oh, and standing in front of a purple rhododendron bush doesn't hurt either! Happy Weekend everyone!

We've been experiencing one solid week of snow and honestly, I'm done with it. I prefer the mild Vancouver winters of years past when the cherry blossoms would start to sprout in late February, but I don't think that will be happening this year. At least my little girl is enjoying it. Charlotte made her first snowman last weekend and I think she's pretty darn cute bundled up in her winter gear. Stay warm everyone! Happy Weekend!
