The last time I wore Keds I was in elementary school and I still remember the smell of the canvas with each new pair that I broke in for the school year. When I saw these silver chevron sneakers, I knew it was time to break the Keds drought in my shoe wardrobe and add them to my collection. Fact: I have cherry blossom fever and it has now extended to my clothing in the form of this romper. The long sleeves and open back, along with the cherry blossom pattern, made this playsuit a must-have and it was perfect for my recent trip to Hawaii. Art on Tights

During the fall and winter months, I wear a lot of tights to get longevity out of my summer shorts, dresses and skirts. I'm usually a basic black tights kind of gal but these printed tights from Zohara have changed my tune. The unique flower drawing on the tights adds an artistic touch, making them fashionable pieces of art you can wear. They're also 120 den, which means they're thick enough to keep my legs warm when the air is brisk, something I'll definitely be needing with this weekend's forecast of rain and more rain. White Hot

Romper. Jumper. Playsuit. Whatever you want to call these adult onesies, I highly recommend getting one for yourself. A top and bottom that's attached together makes throwing something on in the morning so simple. The not so easy part? Going to the washroom. It's a small sacrifice to pay in that department when a piece like this is so cute but I seriously think designers should start putting snaps in the crotch area. Like a bodysuit. Or a baby onesie. Who's with me on this?

I have a soft spot for little white dresses. They're sweet, have a light, clean aesthetic, and are perfect for the warm summer months. Of course, keeping them clean can be challenging, especially for a klutz like myself, but it's worth it when you get to wear something like this pretty lace number with a fun fringe. I admit that I occasionally shop in the kids department (as seen here) because of the lower price point. If the style isn't too junior and it fits, I'm all over it! Would you believe that I found this jacket at the kids section in H&M? It was also 50% off, and rang up to a cool $17. Another great find are these black crochet shorts from OASAP, an online store that specializes in women's street fashion. I first saw them on Kerri's blog and made a mad dash to buy them. They also come in a soft cream colour, which I am going back for.

Colour blocking was big in 2011 and the trend is still going strong this year. I never thought I'd be one to wear two bright colours together but it just seems to work when it's balanced with black and a neutral leopard belt. As the weather improves, I know I'll be turning to the bright hues in my wardrobe to colour block not only neons, but pastels too. Is this a trend you'll be trying this Spring? Black Friday: Self Restraint

I've never partaken in the crazy Black Friday sales but I got a little caught up tonight. Some of the online sales started at 12am EST so for me that meant it was only 9pm on the West Coast! I ended up perusing the goods at Beyond the Rack (one word: danger). I put the following items into my virtual shopping bag because even if I don't check out with everything, I like holding things in my cart to get a sense of the money that I'm "saving." Am I alone in doing this? Maybe...

1. Vintage Louis Vuitton Accessory Pouch 305 in Monogram $129.99
This is in good condition for vintage. The hardware is noted as slightly tarnished, the outside has light signs of wear and the strap seams are slightly open in two areas. Original price is listed as $260.

2. Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat in Beige Tendre $56.99
I've been needing a new powder foundation ever since I broke my MAC Studio Fix and have been wanting to try Chanel's pressed powder for a change. Original price is listed at $70.

3. Chloe Paddington Small Shoulder Bag in Tan $1199.99
I've always loved any of the Paddington bags and shoes that Chloe designs. I've been on the hunt for the perfect cognac purse and this one has everything I'm looking for. Original price is listed at $1900.

 

So what did I walk away with? Drum roll please....NOTHING! I probably would've bought the Chanel powder but they only offered one shade and I have no idea what colour I am. And I was thisclose to buying the LV pouch. I punched in my credit card info and everything.
