Happy Friday everyone! Here is the second outfit I styled with AMI Clubwear (see the first one here). Kimonos are a new favourite layering piece of mine (also styled one here). They're fantastic to throw on in place of a jacket or sweater because they're incredibly lightweight and I love their boho chic feel. Bonus: they make any outfit look effortless.

Happy Love Day, darlings! What are your plans for today and most importantly, what are you going to wear? As much as I love pink and purple, I'm not usually one to wear either colour head-to-toe or dress up in a super girly frock. My style choice to celebrate Valentine's Day is to mix up edgy with femme. The sneaker wedge trend has finally grown on me. It took about a year to really change my mind, but after I tried this pair on from Target I was hooked. They dress down an outfit just enough and are so incredibly comfortable, not to mention they're almost an exact duplicate of Isabel Marant's wedge sneakers for a lot less money! Are there any fashion trends you never thought you'd try and ended up loving?

I picked up these gorgeous neon floral jacquard shorts from the Aritzia warehouse sale last week, and I'm so happy summer is sticking around long enough for me to wear them. They'll definitely be coming along with me to my trip to LA that's coming up really quick! Any recommendations on must-see places to eat and play?

I pulled out this pretty neon pink dress to wear that I bought last summer for $20 at H&M. I really should wear it more often because it's perfect for weddings, high tea, or even just sitting on the couch watching Molly Ringwald movies.

Romper. Jumper. Playsuit. Whatever you want to call these adult onesies, I highly recommend getting one for yourself. A top and bottom that's attached together makes throwing something on in the morning so simple. The not so easy part? Going to the washroom. It's a small sacrifice to pay in that department when a piece like this is so cute but I seriously think designers should start putting snaps in the crotch area. Like a bodysuit. Or a baby onesie. Who's with me on this?

Cut out details in clothing makes for an interesting detail that I adore. This sweater is made all the cuter with the cut out back and silk ribbon ties. And if you follow me on Instagram, you'll recognize these camouflage jeans I posted a few weeks back that I was debating whether or not to keep. As you can see, I decided to keep them. Whenever I feel like I have nothing to wear (which seems to happen weekly. Why does it feel like I have a closet full of nothing?), I always return to the basics. This means either jeans and tee or in this case, neutral pieces in tones of olive, black and beige, with hints of red to brighten the look. What are your go-to pieces when you're in a style pinch?

Happy February 1st! I can't believe the first month of 2013 is already behind us.  Groundhog Day is tomorrow and I'm hoping the little marmot won't see his shadow so that Spring will come early. I'm more than ready to say "goodbye" to winter and pulled out my light springtime clothes in an effort to hurry in the new season. Crossing my fingers that it'll work. Enjoy the weekend!
