Happy September everyone! I can't believe the last long weekend of the summer has ended, but cheer up darlings! It's technically still summer since fall officially starts on September 23. Until then, I'll be keeping the summer vibes going for as long as I can in outfits like this flirty floral romper from AMI Clubwear. I know it's a number of months too early for a true beach day in Vancouver (and bare legs for that matter). But when the sun peeked out after the torrential rain we've been having, splashing in the ocean in my Hunter rain boots felt like a fun way to welcome Spring's arrival, which is tomorrow! Who's excited? I know I am.

Here's my latest outfit for this week's IFB Project, Autumnal Pastels. I took this peach sweater from spring (seen here) to fall by pairing it with deep, rich colours like oxblood and chocolate brown. This scarf from Inner Fire tied all the colours together.

Phillip Lim x Target

The 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection was a designer collaboration I was completely drawn to (next on my radar: Isabel Marant pour H&M), enough so that I woke up the morning of September 15 while on my vacation in LA and drove to the nearest Target - or so I thought. Unfortunately my GPS sent me completely off track, and the Target I ended up at was 20 minutes further than I had anticipated and they didn't even carry the collection. By the time I ended up at the correct Target, the bags were sold out (insert sad face emoji here). I did pick up both the skirt and this sweater in the leopard print, along with a sweater dress (more sweater styling inspiration from IFB here). But I'm now forever thinking of the bags that got away. Anyone have a spare mini Pashli-inspired satchel?! The real deal Pashli is also welcome.

Summer Basics

Summertime is all about easy dressing and it doesn't get any easier than with essentials like denim shorts and a white tank. Throw in some neutrals and you're good to go.

Since the weather decided to go back in time to what looks like winter, I'm pulling these photos out that were taken in February and were all but forgotten. Sadly, I don't even own the sweater and pants I'm wearing in this outfit anymore (the sweater snagged like crazy and the zipper broke on the cargos), and Eleanor moved out of her apartment, which means this is the last you'll see of this balcony and its view. But things are still coming up roses! All the rosy-toned pieces in this outfit are here to stay and summer solstice is tomorrow.  Best. Season. Ever.

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2013 is treating you well so far. As much as I enjoy the holiday festivities, it's kind of nice to be back in a regular routine and I'm kicking it off with this post, the first of the new year! I'm really enjoying layering faux fur vests this winter and this outfit is no exception. If you haven't worn faux fur vests yet, try one out!
