Each new fashion year usually brings about an urge to update the wardrobe with seasonably specific colours, prints and textures. These sartorial renewals don't have to break the bank though. As we transition from Winter to Spring (only five more days!), here are some fresh springtime picks all for under $50.

Happy Love Day, darlings! What are your plans for today and most importantly, what are you going to wear? As much as I love pink and purple, I'm not usually one to wear either colour head-to-toe or dress up in a super girly frock. My style choice to celebrate Valentine's Day is to mix up edgy with femme. A little crochet meets leather, with hints of rose gold for a touch pink. This is Valentine's Day style just the way I like it. xoxo!

Summertime is all about easy dressing and it doesn't get any easier than with essentials like denim shorts and a white tank. Throw in some neutrals and you're good to go.

I recently read this book called Pink Me Up to my daughter and thought it'd be the perfect title for this post. My 3-year-old loves pink and she'd gasp with delight at the pink cherry blossoms and the petals that have carpeted the street. Of course, she'd be wearing pink too. Happy Friday everyone!

This leather jacket was the one piece I had my eye on ever since H&M revealed their New Icons collection. The genuine leather, motorcycle style and zipper details meld into the perfect combination of street style cool to create a look that H&M touts as "model-off-duty." I do admire the styles of models like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Miranda Kerr, so if there's a piece that will emulate their chic off duty style, I'll take it!

Fair Isle

I love a cozy sweater that can double as a jacket. This Fair Isle cardigan (on sale now!) is surprisingly warm and really insulates from the cold; well, just long enough for me to take these photos without my coat when it's 1 °C, but I can see it working as a wonderful piece to throw on during the winter to spring transition. As for right now, it's Friday and that means it's time to transition into the weekend! Have a good one!

The vibrant red, orange and yellow hued leaves are one of my favourite aspects of Fall. I also love being able to pull out my cozy sweaters to wear with tights and boots. As a style blogger who documents her outfits, I find that I'm always keeping an eye out for new locations to shoot photos. I noticed this spot when I was driving to Eleanor's, and the big "X" literally marked this place as our shoot venue for the day. If you live in Vancouver then you would've experienced the crazy thunderstorm we had Tuesday evening. The wild rain and flashes of lightening were quite the spectacle to watch, and it gave the city a much needed cool-down. This gave me the opportunity to wear my fun, horse-print blouse and style it into a Summer look that will also transition well into Fall, which is coming up more quickly than I'd like to admit! It's summer, it's hot, and I love it! My uniform lately has been a variation of short shorts and a tank. I decided to wear this OASAP sleeveless dress as a top with their beige crochet shorts that Kerri kindly gave to me (thanks girl!). I also have these shorts in black (seen here and here) and they're really a great, versatile piece. So glad to have them in both colours! Happy Hump Day!
