I have a soft spot for little white dresses. They're sweet, have a light, clean aesthetic, and are perfect for the warm summer months. Of course, keeping them clean can be challenging, especially for a klutz like myself, but it's worth it when you get to wear something like this pretty lace number with a fun fringe. That's what Tide to Go pens are for, right?

Flapper

{ Bomber Jacket, Necklace & Ring: H&M // Dress: Sugarlips (c/o) // Turtleneck: T. Babaton "Keaton" via Aritzia // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Bag & Sunglasses: Chanel }
Little white dresses are my weakness, and this one I'm wearing from Sugarlips is a welcome wardrobe addition with its fringe hemline that reminds me of a 20s flapper girl. Since it's not quite warm enough to wear on its own (I'm dreaming of summer days when I can wear the dress with these sandals), I layered on a black turtleneck and tights for a classic black and white colour combination.

I hope everyone has a great weekend (who's celebrating St. Patrick's Day?) and thanks for reading!

Coral Splash

{ Blazer: Wilfred "Chevalier" via Aritzia // Dress: Sugarlips (c/o) // Belt: Wilfred // Booties: Zara (old) // Clutch & Earrings: H&M // Sunglasses: Prada }
Here we are on the last day of February and I couldn't be more excited to step into March. I'm transitioning my wardrobe into Spring by including lots of bright colours, like this neon coral that's splashed on the front of my dress from Sugarlips (along with a few rain drops; it's been hard to escape the showers lately). I played up the coral colour with a clutch of the same shade and these amazing rhinestone earrings from H&M, which are currently on clearance for buy 1, get 1 free. I nabbed these for $1.50, people! I'd head to your nearest store ASAP. You're welcome.

Colour Blocked: Mint & Navy

{ Faux Fur Vest: H&M // Top: c/o Sugarlips // Mint Jeans: Zara (worn here & here) // Shoes: Pour La Victoire // Clutch: Coach // Sunglasses: Karen Walker "Number One" // Jewelry: Joe Fresh necklace (old); YSL Arty ring }
 { Photographed by Eleanor Chow }

Remember when I said I'd style my pastel mint jeans into a Fall-appropriate look? Well, here it is! I opted to colour block mint with navy, and used black to keep with a mostly darker colour palette. These photos were shot before I left for Cabo when the weather wasn't quite so bone-chillingly cold. I'd definitely need a jacket now!

Also, today is the last day to enter my olive + piper giveaway for a Mira Spike Necklace so if you haven't entered yet, go do it now!

Don't Rain on My Parade

Dress: c/o Sugarlips // Tights: Nordstrom // Booties: Zara (old) // Bag: BCBGirls // Sunglasses: Dior // Watch: Michael Kors // Jewelry: H&M ring; HRH Collection Original Ombre bracelet }
{ Photographed by Eleanor Chow }

Clearly I'm not willing to let go of wearing sleeveless pieces of clothing even when it's pouring buckets outside. I promise to wear more cozy, Fall looks on the blog soon but for now, I'm going to hold off on the layers just a little longer. Or move to Southern California. Who's with me?

Enjoy the weekend everyone! I'm attending a macaron making class tonight and I'm SUPER excited about it!

Miss Violetta

{ Cardigan: H&M // Dress: Sugarlips (c/o) // Shoes: BCBGirls // Bag: Salad // Sunglasses: Prada // Necklace: Spike the Punch }

{ Photographed by Eleanor Chow }

I'm in major love with this dress from Sugarlips, which is aptly named Miss Violetta. The floral pattern on the purple skirt is accented with metallic thread and the double bubble hem creates the most adorable peplum. I wanted to show you all the dress as it is for this post, but in the future I can't wait to style the dress as a skirt. Stay tuned!

Back to Basics

{ Blouse: c/o Sugarlips (sold out but great options here & here) // Jeans & Belt: Old Navy // Shoes: Zara (old) // Bag: Chanel // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Jewelry: HRH Collection Sheik necklace; MONIKALOVE Flora bracelet by bfrend; H&M ring }
{ Photographed by Eleanor Chow }

You can never go wrong with basic pieces like a white blouse, dark denim and neutral pumps. I especially love the diamond cut-out on this blouse from Sugarlips (I'm a fan of open-back detailing, as seen here and here) because it gives a special twist to a simple silhouette. Add some gold accessories, a classic black handbag, and a tiny splash of animal print and you've got a foolproof outfit.

Have a fabulous weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!

Print Mixing

{ Blouse: H&M (old, similar here and here) // Shorts: Sugarlips (c/o) // Shoes: Zara (worn here and here) // Bag: Salad // Sunglasses: Le Chateau // Jewelry: HRH Collection Ombre bracelet; ring from Mexico }
{ Photographed by Eleanor Chow }

When Sugarlips sent these shorts over for me to style, my goal was to avoid pairing them with a solid black or white top because it seemed too easy. I reached for this polka dot blouse instead, which still acts as a neutral base to the colourful shorts but adds more interest with the mixing of prints. I did have a moment of doubt after putting this combination together, so I posted a photo on Instagram to get some feedback and make sure I wasn't going crazy in the styling department. A lot of you liked it and said the print mixing worked, which made me feel better. Thanks for the vote of confidence, dear readers!
